Theological virtues
Our Vision
Growing in faith,
living in hope,
and serving with love.
Mission
A faith community for
growing in faith:
We grow in intimacy with God.
A faith community for
living in hope:
We live more fully our hope by understanding more deeply our Catholic Christian tradition along with the teachings of our Church.
A faith community that
serves with love:
We serve with love by serving others.
Our Vision
(We see ourselves as ...)
Growing in faith,
living in hope,
and serving with love.
Mission
(We realize our vision as we are ...)
A faith community for
growing in faith:
We grow in intimacy with God.
[through prayer, worship, Bible study, faith sharing]
A faith community for
living in hope:
We live more fully our hope by understanding more deeply our Catholic Christian tradition along with the teachings of our Church.
[education, Catholic identity]
A faith community that
serves with love:
We serve with love by serving others.
[fellowship with one another and service, especially to the least among us]
In Christian philosophy,
theological virtues
are the character qualities associated with salvation.
The three theological virtues are:
Faith
- steadfastness in belief
Hope
- expectation of and desire of receiving; refraining from despair and capability of not giving up
Love or Charity
- selfless, unconditional, and voluntary loving-kindness. Helping your neighbors.
They occur in the Bible at 1 Corinthians 13:13 -
"So faith, hope, love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love."
