2nd Grade is the customary age at which a child may be prepared for First Communion, whether they are at Saint Luke school or not. Preparation for First Communion will begin in late September and Sunday First Communion Classes will be held from 10am-11am.

Registration is now closed for the 2024-2025 program year. 

Registration for 2025-2026 will open in mid-August! 

Children in 3rd Grade and above, may still be prepared for Baptism or First Eucharist, and will do in a separate program from the 2nd Graders, often called RCIC “Rite of Christian initiation of Children.” This RCIC program is for children (or youth) who are 3rd grade or above who have not been baptized, or have been baptized but have yet to receive First Eucharist. Children are only ordinarily eligible for this program if at least one parent or legal guardian is a Baptized Catholic.
